I would really like to continue using Remmina, as it makes my life easier to admin multi-OS remote hosts, as it's the only client I've found that makes setting up a connection over an SSH tunnel simpler (can do it manually, but becomes a bit of a PITA in the long run).Īnother reason that I'm doing things this way is that I'm looking into ditching my own fat desktops & replacing them with thin-clients in particular Raspberry Pi's. I've now changes OS's, WM/DE's & other factors that could possibly contribute to the issue, but the only prevailing common factor is the use of FreeRDP/Remmina.

This mis-mapping happens through both X-over-SSH when conningting to the jumphost via VNC. On the new OS, I am at least able to send/relay keyboard events through to the client connected to from the "jumphost", but the mapping is all screwy ("zxcvbnm" -> "56780xc" via SSH-X).

The problem still persists with Remmina/FreeRDP, but not with other RDP clients (such as tsclient & gnome-rdp). In an effort to address the issue, I rebuilt a new VM, based on a vanilla Debian (6 - stable) & LXDE.
